1. DevSecOps focuses more on application security

This model has now become firmly established in IT. However, with the increasingly shorter development cycles of classic DevOps, the security aspect is neglected.

The main key here is to increase the use of full automation on application security trends. This might lead to a good turn on speed when it comes to detecting and correcting errors.

Moreover, it might serve as an aid against potential dangers and the quantity of application security tests. The more often an app is checked for errors during the entire development cycle, the faster and more flexible teams can react to correcting them.

3. More complex applications

More complex application security trends are not so common. This is so because the more complex applications are, the more vulnerable they become.

Codes on which software and applications are based are constantly being rewritten or expanded as companies have to adapt their offers to the needs of their customers. However, every new change also means that the applications become vulnerable. This increases the risk of errors and bugs creeping in and thus endangering the security of the respective application - or even the company.

In the future, with the increasing number of applications, their increasing complexity, the use of new technologies such as the Internet of Things , and the emergence of ever more small applications, the question of ensuring application security will also become more pressing.
